Urodzona w 9 lipca 1973 roku w Hamilton (Kanada). Karierę rozpoczeła już w 1985 roku, jednak dopiero rola Clare Arnold (1994-1997) w serialu "Beverly Hill 90210" przyniosła jej sławę. Z początku grana przez nią postać miała występowac jedynie w 5 odcinkach, jednak z powodu popularność postać Clare została na dobre... Po kilku latach Kathleen zrezygnowała z gry w serialu i zajeła się swą karierą filmową. Zagrała w kilkunastu filmach (wśród nich były takie, które nie były wyświetlane w Europie) m.in. "Scary Movie 2", "I Am Sam" u boku Michelle Pfeifer. W 2002 roku powróciła do małego ekranu i zagrała w serialu telewizji FOX "Girl's Club". Niestety serial zdjęto z anteny po emisji dwóch odcinków...
